- prepare pasta according to package directions
- in a blender, puree basil, pine nuts, garlic and olive oil
- add cheese, salt and pepper and blend again.
- meanwhile, saute the shirmp and red bell pepper in the skillet until shrimp is bright pink and cooked through.
- add the lemon zest.
- set aside.
- pour the pesto to the pasta.
- add shrimp and bell pepper tossing gently.
- sprinkle on top some lemon juice
- serve immediately.

ingredients
1lb any kind of pasta of your choice
1lb medium sized shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 med red bell pepper cut into bite size pieces
leaves from 2 bunch of basil
2tbsp pine nuts
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 c extra virgin olive oil
1/2 c grated parmigiano-reggiano
1/2 tsp lemon zest and 1 tbsp lemon juice
salt and pepper
